A Call For Help

As you can see, I have my work cut out for me reviewing all these audio books, also my tastes are more sci-fi and fantasy genre of books. The call I am sending out is to anyone interested in reviewing audio books or regular books on my blog, unfortunately there isnt any money in it, but at least you get your opinion out there, shoot me a comment if your interested

Dayworld by Philip José Farmer -A series of books I stumbled upon

In looking over the Demonoid Audio book section I found this series of books, I am downloading them now but from the wikipedia entry: Jeff Caird is a citizen of Tuesday-World N.E. (New Era) 1330. The book starts on D5-W1 (Day-Five, Week-One) in the Second Month of N.E. 1330. (Each day of the week is the same day number, i.e. Sun-Sat will still be D5-W1). The book takes place over a full week, from Tuesday-World D5-W1 to Tuesday-World D6-W1. Jeff Caird is an 'organic' (police officer) by profession. Each day of the week organics have a different outfit. Also, each day of the week has a different fashion trend, tv shows, news, and so on, most people only knowing about each in his or her own day. However, Jeff Caird is a daybreaker, and not only that, he's an immer. The immers are a group of individuals living and acting beneath the radar of the government. The goal of the immers is to slowly and subtly change the government for the better. There are immers in just about every aspect of society in each day of the week. Jeff Caird is special in that he is a daybreaker as sanctioned by the immers, used to pass messages from day to day. As a daybreaker, Caird has mentally created a different identity for himself for each day of the week, different jobs, different friends, and different wives all included.

I dont know about you but this book looks damn interesting to me, so once the download finishes and i finish listening to Polar Shift, this book is next on my list

Update to Polar Shift

just finished listening to cd1 so far so good gives a little history and then moves to present, it appears to start in Seattle, actually on the Puget Sound. That is sweet cause that's where im from Washington State FTW!

*******Update*************
I finished listening to Cd's 1-4 today at work. So far this book has not been what I expected, Clussler's well known character Dirk Pitt has yet to be seen, actually I really don't think Dirk will be making an appearance in this one but, I guess I'll have to finish the book to find out

Posting Bittorrent links

Im tempted to post the links of where i download all these audio books from. I know i should be buying them but 80 bucks for a book is ridiculous so i download them. if anyone is interested in this please let me know

James Axler's Deathlands #1 - Pilgrmage To Hell-In Graphic Audio

Well, this is a new series of books to me and I dont know how much i like the series so far, I have only listened to about 2 hours of the first book, but I just cant get into it. The series Deathlands cant be that bad because they have a huge amount of books, but in looking over the wikipedia entry it looks like the series of audio books is targeted to long haul truckers. This may explain why I'm having a hard time getting into this series, more on Deathlands as i try to listen to more of the series

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War

Well, this is the first post, so i'll try to make it a good one. I just started listening to Max Brook's World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. So far its been really good, the book is narrated by the author and is an account of his trip around the world interviewing the survivors of WWZ, this is a sequil to Max Brooks Zombie Survival Guide. More posts to follow as i get to listen to the book more. The best quote so far comes from a Jewish man from Tel Aviv, Israel "What is your country's fetish with Area 51, Anyway?
